Carolyn Magill Appointed CEO of Remedy Partners

Darien, CT, May 25, 2016 — Remedy Partners announced today the appointment of Carolyn Magill to the position of Chief Executive Officer.  Carolyn assumes the leadership of Remedy at a time of dramatic growth, as the Company expands its software and services to manage bundled payment programs.

“Carolyn is the perfect fit for Remedy," said Remedy Chairman, Steve Wiggins.  “She understands health care from the perspective of payers and providers, and is already a leader in the rapidly growing field of value-based payments.  Remedy is an extraordinary platform for her to influence health care reform in the U.S.”

Ms. Magill, 40, has held leadership positions in UnitedHealth Group’s Medicare and Medicaid businesses and most recently at Evolent Health, where she led the development of provider-based health plan solutions and payer contracting strategies on behalf of health system clients.  She earned her BA at Harvard University and MBA in Health Care Management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

"Remedy is uniquely positioned to fuel our nation's transition from fee-for-service health care to a system that pays for quality health outcomes and value," said Ms. Magill. "There's a tremendous opportunity to build on the positive impact Remedy has already had on the physician and patient experience — bundles are at the core of driving the transparency central to progress. I am thrilled to be joining this talented team in the quest to make healthcare easier for physicians to deliver, more responsive to patient needs, and less expensive for everyone."
